The Video Converter module provides you with the ability to convert the native secure *.MPK video files to a universal generic video format using the WMV codec in an *.AVI container file playable on any PC without additional software. You can quickly share video with others via network/cloud shares or sharing a USB thumb drive. Converting to *.AVI makes it easier to upload surveillance clips to video websites or use in other third-party video editing applications. The proprietary *.MPK format is protected against tampering via a verifiable digital watermark. Since the video conversion process alters the original file the resulting *.AVI can no longer be authenticated and is not admissible as evidence - be sure to keep a copy of the original *.MPK for evidentiary purposes.
